Senior Project Engineer in Bath, Bath and North East Somerset, United Kingdom
Maclean Moore are currently working in partnership with a highly respected, multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure company with extensive engineering capabilities and specialist expertise in transportation and signalling. Together, we are recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer in the Bath area.
Your role will be to manage all technical and assurance activities for the project to ensure project accuracy, quality, safety and compliance. Engineering coordination and integration is core to the Project Engineer's day-to-day running of the project and you should be comfortable working and delivering in a multi-discipline alliance environment.
You will take responsibility for the management of multi-discipline design teams, delivering designs to programme, monitoring and reviewing deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and legislation, with input into organising and prioritising workload within schedule.
Other responsibilities include:
- Responsible for developing and delivering project-wide multi-disciplinary design for infrastructure projects
- Required to integrate line-of-route railway infrastructure and systems with other packages of work throughout the project or programme
- Work closely with individual discipline CREs from within the business and a variety of different design houses
- Attention to detail and good technical report writing, communication / presentation and inter-personal skills
- Setting and embedding the project technical delivery strategy
- Prepare project status reports and regular reporting back to the Project Manager or Project Director on resource, programme, technical interfaces and compliance issues that impact on the technical delivery.
About You
- Experience within the railway industry, the majority of which has been focused on managing the technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects
- Previous experience of utilising Network Rail and railway industry standards and regulations including the GRIP process, with experience of integration and coordination of multi-disciplinary railway system projects and technical disciplines
- Experience on signalling structures preffered.
- Good knowledge of railway systems (OLE, Signalling, Traction Power, Earthing & Bonding, Telecomms) and railway civil infrastructure
- Clear understanding of applicable industry standards and legislation including proven experience of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Common Safety Method and Technical Specification for Interoperability.
