SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - RAIL - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT

Senior Project Manager required to join a Network Rail main contractor in the North West. The contractor has recently been awarded a large amount of work across various frameworks, and the Senior Project Manager will be tasked with overseeing and delivering these works. Projects will consist of Civil engineering works on the railway and will vary in size and scale.

Candidate requirements:

• Extensive Project Management experience within the Rail industry is essential for this role
• Ideally degree educated or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related subject
• CEM capabilities
• Able to effectively manage client relationships
• Able to demonstrate a successful track history of delivering Rail projects over a number of years
• Capable of managing project functions including Planning, Commercial management and operational management
• Experience and understanding of Network Rail project processes, including GRIP

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Effective Project Management of a number of projects simultaneously, ensuring works are completed on time and within budget with no H&S issues
• CEM duties where necessary
• Developing a number of programmes in accordance with GRIP
• Providing regular updates to the Rail Director
• Ensuring Client and stakeholder relationships are managed
• Providing performance updates and progress updates
• Overseeing a team of Project Managers, ensuring all resources are in place for effective project delivery including taking a lead with recruitment matters
