We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for a Tier 1 contractor on a multi million pound rail framework;

Responsibilities including but not limited too;

Lead, act, and communicate as a strong leader on safety management and implement the Company’s All Ways Safely programme, setting and supporting the achievement of high safety, environmental and quality standards.

Act as a strong local leader for staff, ensuring roles and accountabilities are clear, and that staff are managed, supported, trained and regularly appraised.

Develop a strong team loyalty through good leadership and positive relationships, but actively manage poor performance firmly and fairly under the company’s Just Culture framework.

Take a strong lead in the ownership of resource programme and cost controls on the project, managing and supporting the site teams as required.

This includes production and presentation of monthly CVR reports and weekly sub-CVR for directly delivered works.

Lead and support the commercial team in securing maximum sustainable value from contracts, and in settling subcontracts at a fair level reflective of the subcontractor’s price and performance.

Prepare and maintain a Contract Health and Safety Plan, Environmental Plan and Quality Plan, and ensure that the project team operates in accordance with them.

Develop a Succession Plan with your team to align roles & responsibilities to support or stand in during required periods.

Experience required;
Strong rail background
Tier 1 or 2 contactor background
Civils and Rail Systems experience ideal
