Senior Project Manager in City of London, London, United Kingdom
My client are a leading provider to the rail and transportation sector and are actively recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join their E&P division in Central London.
Temporary to permanent contracts are available for the right person!
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership for electrification projects, ensuring they are executed with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Managing a portfolio of schemes, package values of £10-£20m.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project strategies, including scope, schedules, and budgets, to achieve project objectives and align with the company's mission.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers, fostering effective working relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project life cycle.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, anticipating potential challenges and implementing contingency plans to ensure project success.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular project reviews, reporting on progress, milestones, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain meticulous project documentation and provide clear and regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and make strategic financial decisions to ensure the financial viability of them.
Candidate Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, civil engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of electrification systems, power distribution, and related infrastructure, including familiarity with electrical codes and standards.
- Experience managing the renewals of HV 33kVA switchgear
- Proven experience in Senior project management, especially in overseeing electrification projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and lead project teams effectively.
- The ability to build and maintain positive client relationships, including presenting project updates and addressing client concerns.
- Experience managing a portfolio of projects with values of £2-£10m +.
