Senior Project Planner – Greater Bristol Area / Remote

Our client, who is highly revered in the infrastructure space requires the services of a Project Planner / Senior Project Planner within the nuclear, defence and utilities sectors. The business focuses on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. This role is open to both contract and permanent.

The client has an established and respected project controls process. Within the team, you will play a key role in ensuring that the Primavera P6 programmes accurately include the scope of work with correct milestone dates, durations and resources required to effectively deliver the projects. Furthermore, you will need to ensure the integrity of the planned dates and risk events submitted by sub-contractors. Working effectively with various levels of stakeholders is key, so excellent communication skills are a must.

Successful candidates will have a proven background in P6 planning from 1st principles. You will be adept at reviewing programmes and have a sound knowledge of construction techniques and logic. Suitable industry backgrounds include rail, aviation, highways, power, utilities, nuclear, defence and civil engineering.

Required Skills

• Ability to manage and execute schedules within Primavera (P6)
• Experience or knowledge of working within a complex project/programme environment
• Experience or knowledge of software packages used to manage and analyse schedules
• Demonstrate ability working with data, reporting and analysis to identify issues, options and solutions
• Experience or knowledge of planning tools and techniques
• Experience of delivering accurate project plans and integration of plans from multiple projects and work streams
• Ability to provide analysis through the loading of schedules with cost and resource
• Ability to assess delivery and financial risks, contributing to Quantitative Risk Analysis and Risk Register updates
• IT skills, must have intermediate to advance in MS Excel and Project (or equivalent) software

2-3 days remote working / 2 days a week on site in the southwest

Salary from £35k-52k with additional car allowance + private medical healthcare + pension.

Contract will be 6-12 months with option to extend, between £400 - 500 per day (umbrella inside IR35)
