A well-known Rail Civils Engineering main contractor who is massively engaged in and accountable for the effective end to end delivery of a fundamental and costly UK Rail infrastructure development and enhancement programme, is currently in need of focused and thorough Rail related Survey Manager to the manage the effective development and delivery of all survey works for this major enhancement programme.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project management team, you the Survey Project Manager will be responsible for instructing the carrying out of varied Site Surveys as required by the programme leading to support GRIP 4-5.

As the Survey Project Manager, you will be accountable to co-ordinate all survey inputs to meet the overall project / programme delivery requirements.

To identify and monitor all project risks, plan and implement correctional procedures or methods for mitigation and any risks will be very much required with this role.


The appointed Survey Manager will need to possess the following:

• Be qualified to a minimum of HND within a Civil Engineering discipline or equivalent
• Strong working appreciation of Setting-out and Site Survey, CAD and Survey reports and related CDM regulations
• Proven experience working within a Project Management remit, looking at costings, planning, design, delivery, client and stakeholder management
• Ability to effectively read and interoperate technical drawings and produce creditable and accurate reports on a daily basis
• Able to assist in the planning and scoping of work
• Will possesses a strong working application of UK Rail Engineering, Policies and Procedures GRIP processes
• Will hold a valid PTS Sentinel Card
• Will be delivery focused and delivery proud and committed to effective credible delivery
