Trainee Assistant Project Manager

Office Location: Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees with nationwide travel required

Salary: £25,000.00 - £29,000.00 per year

Orchard Roofing & Building Ltd are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Rail Infrastructure projects.

Working with our Project Contract Manager and Project Site Manager, the role will include but is not limited to project management and QS engagement, working on major rail infrastructure projects for clients such as Bam Nuttall, Kier, Story Rail, Taziker, Colt Construction and Eurostar.

Based between our office in Eaglescliffe and sites nationally, we are ideally looking for a graduate with a BSc/HND/HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline along with experience in construction/infrastructure.

The role will include the following:

• Analysis and gather information from internal departments.
• Initial point of contact with the general public, businesses and public sectors and respond within set timescales
• Arrange initial meeting, assist with staff resource requests, document initial meetings within set timescales.
• Issue contractor surveys
• Assist in closing projects with the commercial team
• Attend suitable meeting as required to support the wider team
• Assist with monthly meetings
• Assist with monthly applications

Desirable Skills:

• 1-2 years construction experience ideally Rail/Infrastructure
• Willing to gain further skills/qualification within construction
• Successful relevant experience including experience of project delivery
• Experience and knowledge of applications of CDM regulations
