Wind Project Manager - Belgium
Job Purpose
The Project Manager's job purpose is to manage and control the project in terms of HSE, time, cost and quality from the point of handover from Sales up until handover to the client.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- The project manager has to ensure that everything in relation to the project complies with general client's HSE regulations and local statutory HSE in the respective country
- The project manager is also responsible for the safety of the project team and all subcontractors on site as well as other stakeholders affected by his work
- Safety walks shall be performed per set targets. All hazards, near miss events, accidents and incidents shall be reported immediately but within 24 hours.
- The project manager has to ensure quality all through the execution process always with the focus of a smooth handover of the WTG/WF to the customer.
- The quality process has to be followed at all time (including the submission of information as necessary by issuing a Q-Note/ nonconformity report (NCR))
- Data quality of the turbine has to be ensured at all times
- Negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers as well as contract management of both
- Secure project configuration in SAP, secure supply chain by following up component procurement and availability with regards to the project schedule
- Request internal and external resources by adhering to the set processes (e.g. commissioning release)

- Proficient software skills utilizing:
-MS office basic programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
-Wind farm and turbine control software including the use of computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
- Good communication skills in English language (spoken and written)
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers
- Systematic problem-solving and safety orientated behaviour
- The position requires a high willingness to travel
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Project Manager in operative project execution and construction management for complex technical projects either in civil construction, manufacturing and plant engineering industry, the wind energy sector and/or similar industries/energy sectors; experience with turnkey projects preferable
- Technical background with a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in engineering
