Quality Assurance Manager (Monorail) - MENA

EWI are supporting a Leading Consultancy Company in their search for an experienced QA Manager. You will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive quality assurance system across the entire Monorail Project. Your role will involve close coordination with contractors, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and overseeing all QA/QC activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a project-wide quality management system.
• Prepare and manage the Project Management Plan and quality process procedures.
• Conduct quality and technical compliance audits for contractors and vendors.
• Review contract documents for QA/QC requirements and advise on any deficiencies.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures submitted by contractors are compliant with contract requirements.
• Review and approve Inspection Test Plans and ensure they meet project standards.
• Approve material submittals and supplier prequalification documents.
• Oversee and approve QC test results across the project.
• Create and implement an audit schedule for contractors and facilities.
• Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Ensure materials and equipment delivered on-site comply with approved specifications.
• Lead the site QC team and monitor site activities, coordinating with PM engineers.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in case of non-compliance.
• Assist in assessing Concession Requests and Field Design Changes from contractors.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly QA/QC reports to the client.

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified
• 20 years of relevant experience (Monorail experience is an asset)
• Proven experience in establishing and managing QA/QC systems in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, construction quality standards, and contract review.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate across various disciplines.
• Ability to lead a site QC team and ensure effective implementation of quality procedures.
