Resourcing solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced quality inspector in Croydon, London for a 6 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out end of line inspection to ensure that assembled products meet all relevant quality standards prior to dispatch to the customer. When not acting as the EOL inspector the successful candidate will be required to assist with first article inspections and internal audits.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- To inspect products at end of line in accordance with relevant quality standards.
- Review that the requirements of the Control Plan have been completed in full.
- Check that the processes specified in applicable product technical documents have been applied.
- Segregate non-conforming product and communicate status to area team leader / quality engineer.
- Assist and communicate with production in identifying corrective actions to eliminate non-conformances.
The EOL Inspector will also be responsible for In Line Inspection / Spot Inspection.
Apply continuous improvement and use of best practice.
- Support the first article process to validate the initial assembled products in accordance with the requirements.
- Coordinate and manage internal quality audits in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
- Ensure all tasks are conducted safely and report any hazards and near misses.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example, so that all employees understand the standards and behaviours expected of them.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Proven experience having worked as a Quality Inspector (first off and end of line checks) from within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
- Educated to HNC or equivalent within Quality Environment
- Experience of quality systems in a safety critical engineering environment (Aerospace / Rail).
- ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor certified. Good mechanical understanding and ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail, the ability to produce and proof-read documents to a high standard
- Consistency in achieving set tasks within given deadlines.
- The courage and confidence to challenge product progression in the event of discovering a non-conformance.
- Work under your own initiative and be able to demonstrate adaptability, flexibility in carrying out this role.
- Provide clear & concise communication with all required departments.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
