We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Quality Manager to join our Transpire (TRU) account in Leeds – Hybrid working available.
Our TRU account which was awarded to us in 2007 is to support Network Rail. The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is a multi-billion pound investment programme that will deliver a high performing, reliable railway for passengers with more seats, more trains and faster journeys between Manchester and York via Huddersfield and Leeds. It is the biggest railway transformation the north has seen since the Victorian era.
Quality Manager plays an important part in managing the competence team, to ensure best efficiency and ensure all relevant technical competencies are assessed.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Leading the project teams in using the integrated management system.
- Leading and collaborative working and engagement with the client on ISO44001 or Similar.
- Assisting project teams to plan for product realisation through inspection and test plans work package plans, task briefs or similar.
- Reviewing and commenting on documentation, including documents supplied by Subcontractors or suppliers.
- Leading on Quality improvement initiatives and projects including, LEAN Construction.
- Undertaking 1st Party audits and assisting with 2nd party audits.
- Undertaking root cause analysis of significant Quality problems
- Participate in Network Rail Quality forums.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU ARE/HAVE:
Ideally you will be qualified to a minimum HNC level (Engineering discipline) with experience in:
- Permanent way renewals with strong construction knowledge and understanding.
- Robust knowledge of railway skills and competencies.
- Qualified trainer/auditor competency with good communication skills.
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have a Diploma in Quality Assurance management and Lead auditor trained, to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
