Our client, tier 1 main contractors in JV, require an experience Quality Manager on a freelance basis, to work on a high speed Major rail Project, through out Bucks.
You can work from Home and also the office in Milton Keynes or thoughout Bucks
Key Responsibilities
Work with the BMS Manager to update and review the Business Management System.
Lead the review of the existing Quality Management System, including chairing working groups across the 5 Projects as part of process review/re-design, monitor progress and ensure changes are implemented by the set deadline.
Work with topic specialists and the client to clarify requirements, ensure these are documented in our processes and procedures and ensure data required is collected and communicated to all relevant parties.
Following review, identify process inefficiencies, best practices and innovations within the Projects with a view to defining leaner processes and setting minimum expectations routewide (where appropriate).
Re-design processes and procedures in line with ISO <phone number removed> , HS2 CoCP/Technical Standards, minimum legal requirements and company requirements.
Support the Business Analyst and SMEs in the digitization of forms and the implementation of automated workflows.
Liaise with the reporting teams to ensure data we collect is used for continual improvement.
When required, produce reports demonstrating project progress and compliance.
Identify risks and opportunities and escalate as appropriate together with proposed solutions. In the event additional resources are required, manage the compilation of the business case.
Support the internal audits and inspections programme. Attend internal, parent company and external audits and manage close out of corrective actions and continual improvement.
Act as quality control gatekeeper when new items need to be added to the Business Management System.
Take part in cross discipline management system working groups to improve process efficiency.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Detailed understanding of Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001.
Understanding of ISO14001 & ISO45001
Use of database computer systems and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and SharePoint
