About the Role

We are currently seeking Safety Systems Assurance Engineers in a number of locations around Australia. Our clients are leading engineers and consultants working on world class projects in rail, freight and heavy haul networks.

Main duties:

As a Safety Systems Assurance Engineer in Australia, we are able to speak with you about a number of opportunities at differing levels and locations. Key parts of the role will see you:

• Play a key role in exciting and diverse rail projects – heavy haul, freight and passenger networks.
• Develop, manage, analyse and deliver safety assurance plans to clients using advanced and efficient systems engineering and assurance practices
• Develop associated safety cases and support the design, testing and commissioning approvals with the focus on safety integrity of client processes.
• Work in a team of Safety Assurance professionals at various levels in Safety and/or RAM Programs.

Key Criteria

• Relevant engineering qualification required.
• Strong working knowledge of systems, communications and/or signalling
• Excellent Internal and External stakeholder management skills
• Experience developing and implementing safety assurance plans and processes
• Fluency in rail engineering and safety assurance analysis in either heavy haul or passenger rail
• High level of knowledge and understanding of some or all systems, safety and reliability engineering and assurance processes and standards including CENELEC EN50126, EN50128 & EN50129, IEC 61508, IEC 15288, the INCOSE handbook, the iESM handbook, CSM
• Experience in some or all ETCS, CBTC, ATO Wayside, Onboard, Site data, Mobile Workstations, Automated Level Crossings is preferred
• For visa purposes – ability to pass a full medical, degree qualification or high levels of industry experience and no criminal record.
