General Description:
The Senior Quality Engineer will have the Responsibility for the Management of Operational Quality within the Company reporting to the Company's Head of Quality. The post holder is responsible for the development and implementation of the Quality strategy in line with legislative, regulatory, and corporate requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Quality leadership within the company. Develop lead and direct Quality activities and plans within the company
• Responsible for the Warranty process, dealing with all aspects from initial complaint through to timely resolution and implementation of lesson learned.
• Advise, develop, implement and monitor agreed business measures and KPI’s in line with business needs, utilising such data to influence decision making within the business.
• Implement an effective meetings and communications structure within function and with the other department heads.
• Provide all functions within the company with support and advice on Quality issues
• Work closely with all staff to promote positive cultural change towards Quality within the company
• Provide regular reports on Quality activities to the leadership team
• Represent the company, as necessary, with external bodies in meetings/audits related to company's activities
• Lead the Quality team within company to ensure the safe and efficient execution of functional responsibilities in line with contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements.
• The responsibility to resolve matters with regards to quality or to stop development and/or Production and/or field support activities if critical requirements aren’t met.
• To provide ownership of the Calibration process, co-ordinate calibration activities for special tooling
• Review of Production activities through ‘in-process checks’ confirming compliance to material, process flows, task sequencing and standard work sheets.
• To provide estimating assistance for the commercial team on new bids

Education Requirements / Skills
• HNC/HND and or associated experience in the relevant discipline associated with Quality.
• Lead auditor course (desired)
• Practical Engineering background.
• Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written contexts.
• Demonstrable practical problem solving skills
• Ability to influence peer group and management groups
