The Role Key responsibilities include:

Systems & Safety Assurance Engineer to join or signaling business on a permanent basis. This role will support the Safety Assurance Management when it comes to safety validation both at a project and work package level, and provide support when it comes to safety assessment

Key responsibilities include:

• Interface with client during the safety lifecycle of signalling projects.
• Interface with Europe safety teams.
• Plan, perform and manage the safety assurance tasks according to contractual requirements from customers.
• Update Safety Plan.
• Perform hazard analyses (PHA, SHA, SSHA, IHA, OSHA, FTA), set up hazard log and close out hazards.
• Lead safety workshops (HAZOP).
• Specify the safety requirements and assess safety validation tests.
• Perform risk assessment (QRA) for demonstration of risk target compliance.
• Develop safety case.
• Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product.
• Organize and attend periodic Safety Reviews.
• Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessor.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

• 5 years’ experience in the railways or related transport sector is desirable.
• Safety Experience in Signalling with application experience of CENELEC European Norms EN50126, EN50128 and EN50129.
• Railway signalling engineering knowledge.
• Ability to produce safety analyses and documentation
