Senior Sustainability & Assurance Advisor (Ecology) also interested in Environmental Advisors
Location:
Central Belt of Scotland, commutable from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Cumbernauld and East Kilbride
Salary / Benefits:
£45,000 - £55,000 per annum, negotiable dependant on experience plus car/allowance and benefits

My client, a successful contractor specialising in railway and construction has won various prestigious Frameworks around the UK and are seeking a Senior Sustainability & Assurance Advisor specialising in Ecology to join their team in Scotland
To be suitable for the position you must have;
- At least 2 years' experience in the civil Engineering sector, with preferably experience in the rail sector
- At least 2 years' experience in planning and undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisals
- A protected species licences with SNH for at least bats and preferably otters.
- A good knowledge of ISO14001 and preferably ISO9001
- good knowledge of Scottish environmental legislation, especially CAR licensing
- A good working knowledge of other environmental issues such as waste, heritage, noise and works in or around water.
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;
- Experience of using the Network Rail Biodiversity Calculator toolkit or similar
- Previously acted in an audit type role such as an ECoW or are a trained auditor
Role Information;
Responsible for providing technical sustainability and assurance advice, with a focus on ecology to operational and support staff as well as assisting the Department in developing and delivering its corporate and client driven sustainability strategies.
