The Australian rail sector is experiencing the largest infrastructure investment in the nation's history. There are major projects running concurrently across every state, with iconic projects such as Sydney Metro, Melbourne Metro Tunnel, Parramatta Light Rail and Cross River Rail all underway.

We are working with a number of Tier 1 organisations in Sydney and Brisbane that are looking to identify Systems and Safety Assurance Engineers, as well as Safety Assurance Managers as key strategic hires for 2022. Our clients are key delivery partners on the Sydney Metro and Cross River Rail (Brisbane).

Safety Assurance Manager

• Lead the Systems Safety activity for major rail projects
• Develop strategies and plans to implement the Safety Assurance activities for the project through all or some project life cycle stages
• Provide guidance and support on Engineering Safety and Systems Assurance to engineering team
• Have experience on a major Rail Project - 10-15 years + experience
• Demonstrated experience undertaking quantitative and qualitative analyses including as Fault Tree Analysis, Goal Structuring Notation (GSN), Event Tree Analysis and ALARP/SFAIRP demonstration

Systems Engineers/Safety Assurance Engineers

• 5+ years post grad experience working within a rail environment
• Sound technical engineering knowledge
• Managing requirements in DOORS database or similar tools
• Design Verification and Validation activities
• Proactive and energetic problem solver
• Experience in requirements specifications, risk assessment, hazard analysis etc
