Assistant Topographical Surveyor

About the Role:
A renowned engineering consultancy are looking to recruit an Assistant Topographical Surveyor, to support their surveyor team on various rail schemes.
You will be responsible for assisting the Senior and Project Surveyors on daily basis. Your assistance will ensure that projects are completed in an efficiently and in a cost-efficient manner, meeting NWR Technical and Safety standards. Furthermore, you will be responsible conducting small site surveys, under supervision, as well as carrying out route clearance and track monitoring surveys independently.
The ideal candidate must have knowledge of AutoCAD software and aspects of topographical surveying, including the use of Total Stations, to download raw survey data and import into data processing packages. Furthermore, you must have an understanding of using GPS system, including receiver operation and data collection.
The position is based in Hamilton, Scotland, and will be an office-based position, with a third of time spent on site.

Job Requirements:
- ONC/HNC qualification
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Topographical Surveys
- Understanding of Total Stations
- Experience of GPS System
- Experience processing Topographical and Point Cloud Surveys.
- Understanding of National Western Rail (NWR) Technical and Safety Standards
