Morson Talent are currently recruting for a Building Surveyor to join a major Rail client based in the North West on a contract basis.

There will be lots of travelling, the route spans from Crewe to Carlisle, whilst we try and work it so that we minimise travel you will still have sites that are a fair distance away e.g you could live in blackpool but you may have a survey in Carlisle to do.

Duration - 6 months - Inside IR35. this is as a start point but potential to extend.

Brief Description

The role involves undertaking annual property inspections and reporting on the condition of Network Rail building assets, including stations, depots, and lineside buildings. This information supports the Route Asset Manager in developing asset management strategies and maintenance plans.

Join our Operational Property Inspection team at Network Rail, one of the largest land and property owners in the country, maintaining over 3,000 buildings within the NW&C territory.

Essential Criteria:

• HNC/HND in Building Studies or equivalent.
• Experience in surveying asset property portfolios.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills.
• Full Driving Licence.
