Geomatics Surveyor
*Job Summary
AECOM is currently recruiting Geomatics Surveyor. To act as a Geomatics Surveyor. The post holder will be a site based Surveyor within the Aecom Glasgow office. They will report to the Regional Geomatics Manager.
Internally the Geomatics Surveyor will provide strong technical knowledge in the field and office in terms of Topographic and Geodetic surveying.

Internally the Geomatics Surveyor will provide strong technical knowledge in the field and office in terms of Topographic and Geodetic surveying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a survey teams in the field to carryout Topographic surveys
- Process Topographic data in the office to a final deliverable standard.
- Oversee the technical quality of work carried out by the local team and ensure that a consistent and acceptable level of quality is provided by the teams.
- Arrange all site access and paperwork in line with Aecom QMS.
- Be actively involved in project delivery and ensure that a high level of quality is delivered to clients.
- Ensure that the technical processes and procedures for the delivery of discipline outputs are robust and updated as and when appropriate. Ensure that refined technical processes and procedures are in place.
- Act as a leader for site activities
- Work closely with Project managers to ensure that the quality of work carried out locally on projects is to a level expected from our Clients.
- Work with commercial teams to prepare and publish monthly cost sheets showing resources and program.
- Be responsible and manage local staffing issues including junior staff appraisals, training, and succession planning
- Ensure all Geomatics staff understands their responsibilities relating to health & safety and that the policy statement and guiding principles are communicated and understood.
- Provide management reports as required with a monthly update of progress against plan to project managers.
- Knowledge of all aspects of Geomatics in including the following:
- Topographic Surveying
- GNSS processing and network adjustments
- Laser Scanning and data delivery.
- Mobile mapping and processing data.
- Ability to implement new processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of the Railway and Highways environments.
- Use of the following Software:
- StarNet Least squares
- LSS
- N4ce
- Bentley and Autocad products
- Leica Cyclone and various modules (registration is critical)
- Leica Geo office/Infinity
- Laser Scanning software
- Clean UK driving License
- Must be willing to work away from home
