Role: M&E Quantity Surveyor

Location: Kent

Day Rate: £350 - £450 (dependent upon experience)

Duration: 6 months rolling contract

M&E Quantity Surveyor:

I am currently recruiting for an M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a major Tier 1 company located in Kent on a range of Rail projects located around Kent, Sussex and Surrey.

Responsibilities for the M&E Quantity Surveyor:

• Assisting in the production of accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable
• Monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labour, material, prelim and sub contractor
• Cost forecasting thus ensuring budgets are adhered to
• Assisting in carrying out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales
• Prepare and monitor project cashflow forecasts
• Measure, value, submit and assisting in negotiating contract variations
• Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at project level
• Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets

Requirements for the M&E Quantity Surveyor:

• Degree educated OR equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience within similar positions
• Good written and verbal communication
• Able to work well within a team based environment
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
• Knowledge and experience of M&E rail projects
