Do you have a passion for fixing things? A mechanical master? If so, we have an opportunity for you to join an independent Engineering Assurance organisation that will offer a varied workday and the opportunity to work on a vast range of mechanical machinery across London.
You will be out on the road, providing inspections and assessments for a varied range of clients, on an equally diverse range of equipment, ensuring that machinery is safe for use, making life safer for everybody.
You will be client facing, making inspections, reporting back in real time, identifying any defects that may need attention. Your work is planned by a dedicated planning team, and your travel time is paid for, leaving you to concentrate on the key part of your role, engineering assurance.
Ideally you will have a Level 4 or Level 3 engineering qualification with a desire to upskill to Level 4. You will be given an extensive training programme both classroom and on the job. Good communication skills are required as dealing with clients in their environment and good IT skills as using mobile laptops to complete reports.
Your background can be anything mechanical - tanks, planes, rolling stock, local authority, commercial - what they are looking for is an eagerness to succeed and thrive and a passion for engineering.
We have a fair and comprehensive selection procedure. It is our policy that there should be equal opportunity for and no discrimination against applicants on the grounds of gender, race, religion or belief, nationality, colour, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, disability, age, marriage and civil partnership, union or non-union membership, socio-economic background or being a part-time or fixed term worker.
