Managing Quantity Surveyor - Change Manager in West London, London, United Kingdom
My client, a well known civil engineering contractor are looking for an experienced Change Manager / Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team on an 18-month project responsible for managing all change across the project. This is a £70m project which includes groundworks, demolition, structural steel, M&E, fit-out, and general civil engineering.
Network Rail experience is desirable.
Location: London
Roles and responsibilities:
- Managing a team of QS' across multiple projects.
- Be responsible for initiating and leading tasks/processes
- Be responsible for planning and managing own work, and that of other commercial team members
- Ensure that the contractor's commercial position is protected using in-depth understanding of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes
- Liaise with the client, PQS and Senior staff
- You are expected to manage and provide development/support to other commercial team members
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager
- Estimate from first principal
- Move into a Commercial Management role and manage a team of QS'

Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar / Equivalent HND (not necessary)
- Experience working on civil engineering projects
- Working knowledge of JCT
- Have a very good work ethic and be willing to work hard
