Managing Quantity Surveyor

Newcastle

A world-renowned Tier 1 contractor have an exciting opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Newcastle and work on a major project expected to run over the next 5 years.

The Role:

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will have a very strong contractual understanding and will be in charge of regular amendments and working with the project team to understand the Engineering impacts of these. Day to day you will-

• Oversee the dealing of early warnings, cost management and change management, (Contract s lump sum Option A so change management and cost management are key).
• Obtain information for monthly CVR reviews from the Quantity Surveyors.
• Be a key point of contact for the client as well as working closely with Sub Contractors, so you will be involved with some procurement.

Ideal Candidate:

• You will have extensive experience as a Senior QS or MQS.
• You will have a Civils, Rail and/or M&E background (Rail is especially desirable)
• You will be somebody with a strong work ethic, who is a team player
• Used to managing several sub-contractor packages
• Bsc (Hons) or Higher National in Civil Engineering
