My client, who is a highly regarded Civil Engineering contractor is currently looking to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Buckinghamshire.
This is a permanent opportunity with a competitive salary and package on offer to the successful candidate.
The Opportunity
The role will support a programme of structures works on HS2 within the Highways and Rail sectors of the business. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will report into the Commercial Manager and be responsible for managing a Senior Quantity Surveyor and an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The role will be a mix of home and site working.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor, ideally having worked across Highways and Rail, and have had direct team management experience. You will have working knowledge of the NEC forms of contracts and have managed the commercial performance of schemes that have been delivered successfully. You will build excellent working relationships both with the internal teams and also with clients, ensuring open and clear channels of communication at all times. You will be able to develop and mentor others, both through your experience and your coaching approach to management and hold behaviours as key to forming sustainable relationships.
