Project Quantity Surveyor in England, United Kingdom

A Quantity Surveyor is required to join a Rail Client with multiple offices across the UK. Working remotely and reporting to the Head of Rail you will manage and lead all project commercial activity and provide support to the team on all rail projects. Working closely with the rail management team you will be responsible for improving the Client’s current systems and processes involving cash flow, accuracy of forecasting and cost-value reconciliation, whilst adhering to the contract KPI’s. You will also attend progress meetings, maintain collaborative relationships with clients and drive business efficiency.
As the Quantity Surveyor you will be educated to a Degree/ HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. With some previous experience of working in the rail industry along with good knowledge of railway practice, you will have sound knowledge of contract law coupled with experience in handling document control, negotiation and claims management.
The Client is a Civil Engineering Consultancy with a number of offices across the country who undertake projects across a wide range of industry sectors: Rail, Highways, Renewable, Marine and more. The company specialises in difficult access and their experienced engineers are trained in Rope Access, Diving and Confined Spaces to carry out structural inspections.
