You will be joining an established and reputable business with a solid national presence in the construction industry including highways, water/utilities, civil engineering, facilities management and general construction. This role will see you join a utilities/water sector division of leading construction outfit within a growing UK water management and maintenance industry.

About the Job

This opening will see you work as part of an already established water/utilities infrastructure maintenance team, servicing all maintenance and improvements to the regional water providers’ assets and infrastructure.

The framework includes a range of improvement / upgrade projects and maintenance activities both planned and reactive repairs to the water infrastructure including water treatment facilities (clean and waste water), pipelines, pumping stations, metering and water mains etc.

The Ideal candidate

If you already have a track record as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor on water/utilities, civil engineering, highways or rail term maintenance frameworks, then you will certainly be from the mould we are looking at for this position.

The Ideal candidate

The key items in order to be considered and to be successful in this Water Quantity Surveyor position include a relevant industry qualification (civil engineering or commercial/quantity surveying) and 3 years + of relevant working experience in a commercial team of Quantity Surveyors that will be transferrable to this contract (either from water/utilities specific or general civil engineering projects and frameworks).

The rest is down to your hard-working attitude and ambition as your skills can be developed through regular mentoring and training on the job.

Required experience:

Desirable/Advantageous

  • Civil engineering project or framework involvement (water/utilities, rail, highways, general civils etc) – small to medium size projects, upgrades and asset maintenance of civils infrastructure
  • NEC experience

Essential

  • 3 years + practice as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/ Quantity Surveyor
  • Degree qualified

Remuneration

  • £30,000 - £35,000
  • car/car allowance
