QUANTITY SURVEYOR - RAIL - M&E - CONTRACT - NORTH WEST

Quantity Surveyor required to join a specialist M&E contractor, currently undertaking a large amount of work on the Rail infrastructure. The role will involve commercial management of a number of contracts, as well as work undertaken as part of a framework agreement, with their client Network Rail.

Candidate requirements:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a commercially biased subject such as Quantity Surveying
• Over 5 years experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor
• Ideally, you will have experience of working on a number of rail projects that involve Mechanical & Electrical works
• Able to demonstrate effective commercial management of a portfolio of railway projects

The role will involve:

• Commercial management of a number of Rail projects
• Liaising with sub-contractors ensuring the project accounts are up to date
• Providing project reports
• Cost reporting
• Commercial management of M&E packages including HVAC and large scale electrical works within Network Rail depots and Stations across the North West
• Negotiating
• Cost Value Reconciliations
