Our client is a specialist Rail Civils contractor, that is currently undertaking a station refurb for a major Lodnon Underground Station. They are looking to recruit Project Quantity Surveyor to be based out of Central London, this is a Contract position paying up to £300 per day.

Main purpose of this role is to be site based where you must have London Underground ICI and experience of dealing with variations and changes.

Responsibilities:

• To manage assigned projects and to be accountable for the progress and successful completion of commercial aspects of projects.
• Reading and reviewing contract documentation and ensuring the Project Directors and Directors awareness of contractual issues.
• Liaising with the Principal Contractor and their client. This includes attendance at meetings at all levels.
• Maintaining costs reimbursable for the labour and materials.
• Preparation of claims/valuations/ reports/correspondence, associated with the commercial aspects of the contract.
• Oversee change management under the ICE, ICC NEC forms of contract, notification assessing and agreeing Compensation Events with Clients and Subcontractors.
• To manage the financial status of specific projects, payment applications and subcontractor accounts, including account status as required.
• To carry out reviews of existing and new projects – offer advice or training to others as necessary.

Education Requirements:

• BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying
• At least 5 years experience working in a high technology or civil engineering environment, preferably with site working experience.
• Specific Contract Experience on ICE, ICC, and NEC forms of contract and subcontract, preferably NEC 3.
• Chartered RICS membership
• LUL ICI and Previous Rail Experience
