Our client operates internationally with 7 wholly owned subsidaries and regularly pick up the biggest and most notorious projects in the UK. They now require Quantity Surveyors of all levels to join their Highways team on one of the biggest and most sought after highways projects in the country.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensuring accurate records are maintained for their projects
- Ensuring appropriate sub contractor agreements are in place across their projects
- Producing accurate monthly internal and external cost value reconciliations across their projects
- Instigating any dispute resolution, ensuring all claim notices are issued.
- Ensuring the prompt settlement of Final Accounts
Experience and Qualification:
- HNC, HND or Degree educated in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline).
- A contracting background within Civil Engineering - previous experience of roads and structures would be an advantage but not essential.
- A working knowledge of method of measurement for highways work is required together with experience of the NEC form of contract..
- Ability to work on a National Level and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication skills along with a pro-active approach to achieve pre-determined deadlines for monthly reporting on all of the commercial aspects associated with the contract.
