Quantity Surveyor in United Kingdom
Due to expansion my industry leading Utilities Client is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to join their team in Greater London.
Suitable candidates will hold the below skills and experience as a minimum:
Key Responsibilities;
Manage, as part of a team and/or individually, the commercial function through to final accounts, overseeing financial aspects of the project
Interpret the contract to fully understand the project scope, deliverables, constraints and responsibilities
Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting
Prepare accurate progress reports, cash flow forecasts and cost preliminaries
Provide commercial guidance on project performance through accurate forecasting and risk identification
Ensure the Project Team adheres to all contractual requirements and deliverables
Identify and price variations/compensation events as and when they occur
Manage procurement process to ensure timely delivery of project equipment and materials
Represent the Company’s best interests at project meetings
Prepare estimates for projects where required at tender stage
Suitable candidates must hold the below skills and experience as a minimum:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or similare equivalent
Commercially astute. Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement.
Experience of NEC Framework contracts
Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
Good communication skills at all levels
Proven experience within a utilities background
