My client, a well-known civil engineering contractor based in Surrey are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis, reporting into a Commercial Director. I'm currently seeking someone with a strong background in highways, infrastructure, earthworks, and basis civils. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please read on.
Location: Ipswitch
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing subcontract enquiries / quotation comparisons and subcontract documents.
- Commercial management of subcontractors, including processing payments once authorised by senior management.
- Cost monitoring of site resources.
- Production of applications for payments in accordance with the conditions of contract.
- Providing commercial advice to the site team by advising and using your teams reports.
- Commercially lead meetings concerning performance on key parts of a project
The successful candidate will offer the following:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar / Equivalent HND (not necessary)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a civil engineering environment
- Experienced and well versed in NEC contracts
- Been involved in Projects in excess of £20m
