What can you bring to this role?

• A qualification in quantity surveying from HNC, HND, BSc, BEng, MSc, Meng
• NEC form of contract experience will be crucial
• In terms of project experience, rail or highways structures would be beneficial due to the project you’ll be working on initially, but we can also consider environmental or flood defence experience too

What will you be doing as QS?

A normal day will involve working closely with the on-site members of the team, from Site Engineers to PMs you’ll ensure you are the go-to person for any commercial questions. At first you won’t have any direct reports as your sole focus will be to support the project team, but as the project develops and the team grows, this will change. As QS you can expect all the usual duties from CVRs, change/cost management and early warning notifications.

If you’re an AQS stepping up to QS this won’t be for you. We need someone to hit the ground running to assist in the delivery of the commercial elements of the team from day one. So if you’re driven, autonomous, and are able to manage your own work load this is the role for you!
