We are looking for a Quanitity Surveyor to be based in either our Swindon or Crewe office.
Summary role purpose; (including the management and reporting of the below)

- Maximise Revenue / Value
- Convert Revenue to Cash
- Minimise Cost of Sales
- CVR reporting in line with business requirements
Key Duties
- Action and report daily on outstanding debt (Payment Certificates / Cash / Aged debt)
- Produce and submit all Applications for Payment on time and in accordance with the Contract (for all works completed in the business). To be entered onto accounting system within 2 hrs of submission.
- Complete and confirm all Revenue and Accruals reports within three working days of the calendar month end
- Manage and report on project level cash flow, including supplier / sub-contractor payments due
- Undertake monthly cost and value reconciliations for each project
- Manage and administer change control / variations (value and EoT recovery) on a regular basis to ensure all events are captured and submitted no later than 1 month from occurrence
- Review and complete all outstanding Goods Received Notes (GRN’s) on a weekly basis
- Review and report on all open Purchase Orders on a monthly basis (PO value, Invoiced Value, Value Remaining and Liability to Date)
- Sub-contractor and supplier management / administration, including a monthly (at the end of the month) measurement of work completed, liabilities to date and forecast to completion.
- Administering Sub-Contract account assessments, Applications for Payment, Payment Certificates, Payment and Payless Notices
- Obtain timely Certificates for Completion (Practical and Final) and recovery of retention monies
- Report monthly on uncertified amounts, and the associated action plan for recovery (including undertaking the actions)
- Complete a timesheet within two working days for the prior week
- Assist the project manager and produce the Project Management Status Report (PMSR) on a monthly basis
- Produce and log batch reports for payments / cash received
- Produce contractual correspondence which complies with the principle and timing required by the Contract
- Produce an accurate monthly report (actual to month end and forecast to complete) for each project on Application Value, Revenue and Cash
- Ensure all safety risk situations are brought to the attention of site management.
- Ongoing liaison and interface with site team, subcontractor(s) and clients' representative(s), including attendance at client meetings
- To provide contractual advice to the site team as and when required
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Educated to Degree or HND level.
- An experienced Quantity Surveyor
- Working towards RICS and ICES
- Knowledge of Project Controls including earned value and schedule risk analysis.
- Experience of working within a collaborative environment.
- Ability to use appropriate computer software and packages.
Desirable
- Experience in Network Rail / Rail S & T projects
- Experience in administering NEC forms of contract
- Full driving License
