As Master Supply Partner, we are proud to be working as the sole in partner with the UK arm of this leading international and multidisciplinary infrastructure construction company, specialising in the development and delivery of key infrastructure projects across the globe such as railway construction and systems, roads, tunnelling and fibre optic networks.

Having worked on a number of the UK's most prestigious Major Projects and Alliance Partnerships, they are currently focusing on the financing, design and construction of fibre networks, and are growing 3 UK regional hubs.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, they currently have an immediate requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of their Northwest new fibre networks projects.

  • As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for providing commercial support to the Project, reporting commercial information to the Project manager and sharing this information with the UK Head Office. You will also manage the commercial relationships with the client, providers, sub-contractors and suppliers, using supply chain agreements based on the NEC3 forms of contract.
  • On a day to day basis you will work closely with the project team, responsible for the subcontract procurement, management and cost approval within the contracts. You will report into the Project Manager on an operational basis on all financial and contractual matters, ensuring that the Project Manager has available all necessary financial data in order to aid the decision making process on site.
  • Be responsible for carrying out financial and contractual administration on assigned contracts, to keep costs, income and cash flow within established targets and to optimise cash flow.

For this position, the ideal candidate should have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

Essential:

  • SME/Tier 2 or Tier 1 quantity surveying experience within the construction industry, with infrastructure, fibre or civils experience an advantage
  • NEC3/4 contract administration experience
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors
  • 5 years of experience
  • Taking initiatives
  • Rigorous/thorough approach
  • Good communication capacities
  • Good organisation skills
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office & an aptitude for systems and data
  • Team player

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Cemar and/or Causeway Project Accounting software an advantage but not essential
