TXM Recruit have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis in Leeds. Our client has a large presence in the UK Rail industry, working in partnership with TOC's / Manufacturer's to deliver facilities for vehicle maintenance and overhaul.

Role Responsibilities:
- Deal with the day-to-day commercial activities for all jobs allocated to them or as required by the Commercial Manager
- Keep cost to completion sheet up to date for each project
- Meet with the Project Manager/Site Agent at regular intervals to review the budget, project costs and discuss compensation events
- Assist with procurement, raising of requisitions, sending enquiries for both projects and tenders
- Checking purchase requisitions and raising POs on Computer System
- Prepare and submit monthly sub-contractors payments when required
- Check applications from suppliers for works completed with Project Manager
- Prepare and submit monthly applications to clients on time, as specified in the contract valuation schedule
- Have a clear understanding with all managers and supervisors on the procedures that need to be followed to capture all early warnings and compensation events on all jobs
- Ensure certifications have been issued by the client for works complete, liaise with accounts to produce invoices and chase payment when due
- Liaise with Project Team for the purchase and or hire of materials and plant
- Produce monthly CVRs and carry out ongoing cost analysis
- Identify commercial risk in Tenders and Projects and providing advice on this to the Project Team
- Approve Monthly Supplier invoices
- Final accounting all works in a timely manner
- Close out the project commercially, complete Project Close Out and submit to Accounts
Role Requirements:
- Previous QS experience, much have previous exposure to a Railway environment
