Quantity Surveyor

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 plus package

Summary

A highly reputable multi-disciplinary Tier 1 railway & civil engineering contractor is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in their brand new office based in Peterborough.
Working on a variety of railway civil renewals frameworks infrastructure works and managing schemes from cradle to grave.

Day to day responsibilities would include:

- Working with the commercial team and supporting Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in the commercial management of multiple sites on time and to budget.
- Pricing and ensuring estimates are submitted accurately and on time,
- Resolving pricing issues with clients
- Client Liaison
- Liaison with Site Managers to collate information on day to day remits,
- Subcontractor management
- Change management and early warnings
- Contract administration (NEC/NR forms of contract)
- CVR's
- Final accounting.

Experience required

- Good experience working as a Quantity Surveyor ideally in the rail sector
- A degree within Quantity Surveying
- Experience working on a number of projects simultaneously from start to finish
- Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor would be beneficial
- Must come from either a rail or civil engineering background
