SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

An opportunity has arisen for a freelance or permanent Quantity Surveyor to work for one of the largest Contractors in the UK on a £20m+ Highways Construction project based in Bristol. With work in Highways, Rail, Water, Utilities, Construction and General Civils, the company you would be working for is one you want to have on your CV for years to come and their name really is an eye-catcher for employers. They are so big that they are even in the FTSE 250 so this opportunity really isn't one you want to miss out on.

THE ROLE
This position for a Senior Quantity Surveyor is going to be working on very high-profile Highways project constructing a brand-new Junction on a Motorway. Not only would you be able to get on board and get involved with the pre-construction works taking place but you will have the opportunity to have a heavy involvement right through the delivery stages, watching the project come to life day by day. Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you would be involved in ensuring tasks such as reviews of cost and value, monthly financial analysis reports, cash flow/turnover/final margin as well as ensuring cost to complete forecasts were completed and management meetings were attended providing clear reports on projects progress.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are the ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor for the position if you have a large amount of Highways experience working on high-value projects of circa £10m and above. It is important you have plenty of Highways experience as this job is absolutely critical to our client and you will be expected to perform at the highest level from Day 1. You will be based within 1 hour and 30 minutes travel of Bristol as to fall in line with safety regulations set by Highways England.

THE RATE
The rate on offer for this position will be an absolute maximum of £350 per shift: that together with the longevity of the project ensures this role will be one you won’t want to miss out on.
