Description:

Reporting to the Lead /Managing Quantity Surveyor, the Quantity Surveyor is responsible for all commercial and contractual matters on the site allocated to them to successfully deliver that project. On larger more intricate projects may be required to carry out the same tasks for a section or sections of the works reporting to a Lead /Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.

Job Role:

• Support the LQS in preparation, negotiation and agreement of change events and final accounts.
• Undertake the project contract administration, including change control management and maintain associated registers within governance and adopt best practice
• Preparation of internal commercial reporting on a monthly based and any other reports which may be required by the Company
• Preparation of Valuations for applications for payment, required for the project, with full supporting documentation in accordance with the associated contract

Key Experience:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar / Equivalent HND
• Experience working for a rail contractor or similar sector
• Experience in one of the following fields; Mechanical, Electrical (Preferred), Public Heath, Telecoms (Preferred)
