Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: £450 p/d - £475 p/d Inside IR35

Start Date: Immediate

Are you a freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor? Do you have experience working on civil engineering projects? Would you like the opportunity to work for a Tier 1 contract? If yes, then this is a great opportunity for you!

The successful candidate will be the commercial lead on a £3m NEC4 civil engineering project. The scope of works will include a brand new concourse, pedestrian crossing points and resurfacing of existing footpaths and roads.

Requirements and Duties:

• Procurement of subcontractors
• Managing a small team of Assistant and Junior Quantity Surveyors
• Liaising with clients to identify their needs
• Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour
• Preparing tender and contract documents
• Identifying and weighing up commercial risks
• Assigning work to subcontractors
• Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments
• Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards
• Submitting regular budget reports (CVR's)
