Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of Quantity Surveyors, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure projects are executed to the highest standards.
- Cost Management: Oversee all aspects of cost management, including cost forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
- Contractual Expertise: Utilise your expertise in NEC contracts to manage all contractual matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks effectively.
- Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, driving effective communication and collaboration for successful project delivery.
- Commercial Insight: Provide valuable commercial insights to inform decision-making, drive efficiency, and optimise project outcomes.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing strategies to minimise their impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold our commitment to quality by meticulously reviewing documentation and deliverable to ensure they meet the highest standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: A proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the rail sector, preferably on projects involving Multi Discipline, Civils & Structural, Electrification & Plant, Geotechnical, and Signalling elements.
- NEC Contracts: In-depth knowledge and practical experience with NEC contracts is essential for effective project management and risk mitigation.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities to guide and inspire your team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills to assess complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive project success.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field are desired.
