Do you want to work Outside IR35?If so my client, a leading Civil Engineering contractor, has an amazing opportunity specialising in aviation infrastructure project. The project itself is billion-pound 5-year aviation framework underway which encompass a diverse range of schemes, including major projects, as well as reactive and maintenance work within terminals, tunnels, and railway stations.
Role Overview: As a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of the aviation framework projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and commercial management, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards of quality. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging and prestigious projects within the aviation sector, providing you with valuable experience and exposure to large-scale infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed cost estimates and preparing tender documents
- Procurement of subcontractors and materials
- Monitoring project costs and expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing effective risk management strategies
- Providing contractual advice and support to project teams
- Managing variations and change orders, ensuring that all contractual requirements are met
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Chartered Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) preferred
- Minimum of 10 years experience in quantity surveying, with a preferred back ground with aviation and civil engineering projects.
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts such NEC and procurement processes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as Excel, CostX, and/or QS Pro
