About the role
Here at Babcock International, we are currently seeking a Senior Surveyor to work within our Network Engineering Division. You will be working within a Consultancy Business Team that provides multi-disciplinary design to our internal delivery teams and external customers. Our design competencies include: Civils, Electrical, Signalling, Track and Survey.

We have a successful proven track record in the provision of multi-disciplinary services predominantly within the rail industry, civil nuclear and power lines. We have extensive experience in the provision of topographic/geomatic survey design services complemented by a track design team and expertise in providing civil engineering design including ground investigation and survey.

As a Senior Surveyor working within a team of 10 you will, assist in the day to day operation of the survey section ensuring it is managed in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner, oversee and manage the delivery of large projects/contracts, develop and maintain external and internal liaison, and continually review working practices, utilisation of resources and technical innovations.

You will assist the Survey Manager in the mentoring of trainees, ensure agreed performance and other KPI targets are met, assist in the preparation of cost effective contract submissions including method statements and keep robust records of costs incurred and accrued on all projects under your control.

What do I need to do the role?
You will need to be either Degree qualified with applied experience or HND/HNC qualified with experience specifically in the Rail industry or have experience of Aerial Surveys.
Be fully conversant with all aspects of topographical surveying and have experience of managing large contracts and people.

Additional Information:
• Competitive salary and package with overtime.
• May be required to stay away from home due to the itinerant nature of the work. Will be provided with accommodation, food allowance and increased rates.
