Specialist subcontractor requires Senior Quantity Surveyor for works comprising the preparation and pouring of reinforced concrete slabs, the installation of precast concrete and associated tasks. Project duration 3 to 4 years.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Acting as Commercial Manager for the delivery of construction works at 3 different work sites
• Responsible for delivery of the project in accordance with contract terms NEC Option C
• Collation and submission of all payment certificates to the client
• Discussion with client for compensation events and queries on costs and programme
• Liaison with company head office on all aspects of invoicing, payments, costs and programme
• Management of assistant Quantity Surveyors at each work site, to ensure all quantities and works are recorded, measured and correctly reported in accordance with the contract
• Ensure the programme of the works is maintained in accordance with the contract
• Continually monitor the performance and costs of the works and report to the Project Manager
• Co-ordinate with other team members as appropriate
• Maintain company quality, safety, environmental standards
• Review the delivery and installation works on an ongoing basis and identify any areas of concerns or improvements
• Actively participate in progress meetings with the company's commercial team and the client

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 20-25 years' experience of construction site activities
• Preferable (not essential) experience in the installation of reinforced concrete in-situ and precast concrete sections
• Experienced with managing teams of personnel
• Fully conversant with NEC contracts, Options A and C
• Aware of contractual obligations in quality management, health and safety, environmental
• Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
