We have a superb opportunity for a skilled Track / Permanent Way related Delivery Engineer to work with one of the UK s most prestigious Rail Engineering and development organisations.

Our Client is currently involved in the upgrade of our national Railway infrastructure and is looking for the right individuals to join their project delivery teams involved in a series of Permanent Way renewals, installation and development programmes to be based in London.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Delivery Engineer will be reporting to and supporting the Lead Development Engineer in the successful delivery of a major P-Way / Track and Drainage programme schemes. You will be responsible for creating short term planning for varied work and prepare resource plans, method statements and related work schedules.

As Delivery Engineer, you will be required to;

• Conduct site visits for quality checks as work commences, carry out Risk Assessments and lead on the input and compile Method Statements
• You will be needed to carry out Site Engineering Setting-out requirements as well as 2D and 3S Dozing and surveys
• You will look to control all technical delivery activities on site in accordance with varied work plans, offer guidance and engineering advise in line with programme, standards, Health, Safety and Quality of works
• It will be your responsibility to ensure Track Geometry and clearances are compliant, this will also include Track Geometry and Clearances

Requirements:

The successful Track / P-Way & related Drainage Delivery Engineer will be educated to a minimum of HNC or equivalent within a Civil engineering remit and would have worked in a very similar role in the past concentrating on Track / P-Way and related Drainage programmes, holding either a PTS or LUCAS card.

It is envisaged that the appointed Delivery Engineer for Track / P-Way & related Drainage, will also possess the following: -

• Strong UK Rail Track and P-Way working background as a Delivery Engineer, P-Way Engineer or Technical Officer with that strong working knowledge and experience of 2D and 3D laser Dozing and Site Engineering (Trimble / Leica)
• Full working appreciates on Track Drainage requirements
• You will currently hold or recently have held Stressing levels 1 & 2 and be strong with regards to Tamping procedures
• Strong ability to analyse data and technical drawings, you will be able to draw up on conclusions and provide solutions
• Analytical with regards to planning and resource management
• Results driven and delivery focused
• Have an awareness of CDM regulations and Health and Safety conscious
