A Construction Manager is required for a long term placement on a huge construction project based in Central London. This project is working close to rail infrastructure, so a construction manager is required to ensure rail assets are protected throughout the construction process.
Duties will include stakeholder interfacing with contractors on project, providing engineering assurance activities to help ensure rail assets are protected appropriately at all times, some safety management will also be required to ensure construction activities are completed in the safest possible manner. This project consists of deep earthworks, excavations and multiple cranes, so a wide range of construction engineering assurance activities are required.
Successful candidate will have previous experience in engineering assurance role, ideally on a major construction project with some asset protection responsibility. SMSTS or similar will be required as would valid PTS. Experience in a heavy civils environment would be highly desirable.
This role has been determined inside IR35 for Limited Company contractors.
