A renowned main civil engineering contractor to the UK Rail industry is engaged in an lengthy programme of varied development schemes for the improvement and upgrade of our notional railways, this programme is in two parts, each to large valued budget to be based in the North West.
Our client is in need of an experienced P-Way/ Track CRE who has past working experience within multi-discipline Rail infrastructure development programmes, interfacing closely with all other related disciplines.

Role & Responsibilities:

You as the Track CRE will be reporting to the senior project management team and will be accountable for the effective planning, design review and associated engineering support to oversee and ensure the smooth delivery and compliant processes of varied P-Way / Track requirements.

Requirements:

As the P-Way / Track CRE you will have previous experience working in a similar role within major Rail development operations and will have the knowledge and working appreciation of all related aspects for P-Way delivery within a large multi-discipline interface.

This position requires the P-Way / Track CRE to have a proven portfolio of leading the delivery and compliance for P-Way / Track and construction purposes all within a mainline environment, working with the designers, interoperating technical drawings and strategic planning with varied engineers and delivery teams.

• Proven experience of managing and controlling the planning, design reviews to delivery for mainline P-Way / Track delivery
• Experience in delivering and implementing compliance development strategies considering CDM regulations
• Strong working knowledge of Rail engineering policies and procedures and NWR GRIP stages
• Good man-management, planning, design to build and delivery qualities, who can lead by example and also has a good appreciation of related commercial aspects
• Strong communication skills at all levels, able to competently interface with clients and key-stakeholders and work collaboratively with associated sectors
• Possesses a valid NWR sign-off (past or present) as a Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) for P-Way / Track
