We are currently dealing with a major Rail Engineering Contractor based just outside of Glasgow who are looking to recruit a Rail Civil Construction Manager working on the Civil schemes to supplement electrification schemes. Job Requirements for the Construction Manager

- Oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is completed safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.
- Monitor on-site personnel, operatives and site visitors ensuring all operatives are suitably qualified / compliant and adhere to company / client / site-specific policies and standards.
- Ordering of plant / materials to meet programme of works. Identifying and arranging subcontractors to undertake works.
- Liaising with the sub-contractors with regard to programme, progress, quality and health & safety.
- Monitoring work progress and compliance to specifications and standards and collate documentation and records.
- Dissemination of information and ensuring client/contract requirements are met in full.
- Plan works thoroughly to maintain a safe system of work specific to each project / contract including HSQE requirements, e.g. maintaining the Safety File, site safety inspections, accurate site records and daily site reports.
Job Requirements for the Construction Manager
- Experience in supervising civils/OLE projects and operatives on the projects.
- Valid PTS an OLEC qualifications
- SMSTS or SSTS competency
- Experienced being responsible for projects reporting in accordance with client requirements.
- Producing reports to include design and site progress, identification of critical resource elements, lost time delays and accident reporting
- Minimum 5yrs supervisory experience within a railway environment
- Full driving license and vehicle
