Rail Civil/ Tunnel TBM Construction Manager - Egypt

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is supporting a Major International Consultancy firm with an ongoing Rail/ Metro project in Egypt which is needing an experienced Civil Construction Team Leader ideally with strong Tunnel (TBM) experience.

Opportunity:

The role shall be working for an international consultancy on behalf of the end client supervising the construction of all Civil elements including Tunnel and stations. The successful individual shall be joining an international team on a long-term basis to be based in country.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As Construction Manager/ Leader you shall be supported by Resident Engineers and technical specialist supervising the local contractors during the Construction phase. Due to the large TBM Tunnel component of the project you shall be working closely with the TBM team and designers to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and deliverables met.

• Supervise construction activities & progress, Managing the contractors.
• Ensure smooth implementation of the project design and construction issues related to civil design.
• Attend site inspections throughout the construction to resolve design and construction issues.
• Compile construction completion reports and report in monthly progress meetings.

Key requirements for the role:

• Degree in construction management or similar
• 15+ years in railway project, 10+ in a similar role.
• Carried out Construction supervision roles on previous projects.
• Previous TBM Tunnel experience
• Proven track record in project delivery of large infrastructure.
• Multiple years on single project.

Salary Package:

The salary on offer for this position is around $14-16,000 per month with a full package including Flights, transport, insurance, per diem.
