- Manage technical compliance of core renewals
- Manage the effective survey, design and setting out of the renewal installation
- Monitor the accurate and consistent recording and delivery of the as-built details
- Liaise with the Project Manager and the Client to deliver a mutually successful conclusion
- Effectively communicate task requirements to staff and interfaces incl. Company briefings
- Plan and optimise the work on a day to day basis
- Deliver the P-Way design to time and within cost targets, interfacing with other disciplines as appropriate
- Identify potential variations to contract and opportunities for added value to the Project Manager
- Effectively manage the utilisation of plant and equipment on site
- Ensure that staff work in conjunction with the quality and standard of construction to compliment the Network rail standards
- Ensure equipment is calibrated to required quality standards
- Populate resource schedules in line with programme requirements
- Lead, direct and monitor the work of direct reports
- Manage and ensure quality of work done by staff
- Motivate, develop, coach and mentor the technical team
- Promote and develop team working
- Review new developments, techniques and working arrangements to ensure operation and sharing of best practice
- Conduct investigations and produce written reports as required
- Undertake projects and assignments as directed by line manager
- Ensure that up to date pro-forma are used and catalogued correctly.
- Deputise for technical Delivery Manager
Important experience:
- HNC Civil Engineering or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of P-Way design, surveying and setting out
- Up-to-date knowledge of plant and equipment
- In-depth knowledge of P Way design software
- Knowledge of project planning
- On-site experience
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems
Important skills
- PTS and CoSS
- Computer literate – proficient in Word, Excel, ITD, gauging software, CAD
- Time management
- Safety awareness
- Level 3 stressing
- Raising and removing speeds
- Track back level IV
- TQS
